You are indeed very wise, as Ed comments. Since the first moment of that day a quarter-century ago, you've been your own person, and always a remarkable one: brilliant, hilarious, handsome, fun, able to express love when it's appropriate but not giving it away randomly, and deeply caring about the feelings of others and about the world in general. You use both hemispheres of your brain in the most graceful and wonderful ways, and are able to school yourself in complex subjects that others have to pay to learn. As this first quarter-century illustrates, life is short and goes by so much faster that we ever imagined it could. We have to seize the day, and you've been doing that all your life. I couldn't be more proud and happy to be your mom.
